How it Works

The iVoteIndie App is a combination of Branding, Voting, Newsfeed, and Community, all focused on empowering and enabling Independent voters to gain a network effect in their voting power.

  • Election Server

The iVoteIndie Election Server is the brain of the platform. It contains election information at all levels of government, user information, and the election calendar.

The underlying data structure of the Election Server includes all 519,383 election positions at the Federal, State and Local level as well as which voters can vote in what elections. Access to this information is specific to a user profile and based on a verified, physical address.

  • Brand Identity

Similar to what Democrats and Republicans have done in terms of building their respective party brands, iVoteIndie will build a brand around independent voters. This will include an animal logo, specific colors, and related merchandise to independent voters and the iVoteIndie name.

  • Community

Similar to what Democrats and Republicans have done in terms of building platforms for their respective parties, iVoteIndie is building a platform for people unaffiliated with a political party. In doing so, we believe that we can build a non partisan independent community with a voice louder than what independent votes can do own their own.

  • National, State, Local Elections

iVoteIndie will run elections on the app throughout the year. These elections will mimic real elections and be run slightly before real National, State, and selected Local elections. In addition, we will run elections and polls specific to trending issues like SB-8 as well as special elections like the California Governor’s recall election.

  • Newsfeed

Similar to theSkimm and the Hustle, iVoteIndie will have a newsfeed specific to individual voters at the national level as well as more specific feeds for a voter’s home state.

  • Actionable Data

Because iVoteIndie is built on an underlying virtual platform, we will be able to collect and harness data ahead of over 500,000 primary and general elections at the national, state and local levels as well as on trending topics and issues that occur throughout the year.
